Eileen Walts

What keeps you and your partner from handling the challenges of your relationship more effectively? Are you locked into certain ways of thinking about each other that limit the possibility for change? Have you developed ways of coping with stressful situations over time that no longer work? Maybe you’ve had hurtful or traumatic experiences that make you super sensitive to feelings of threat or rejection. Or, maybe it’s a combination of all of these things. Whatever the reasons, I will work with you to find, untangle, heal, and resolve the tendencies that limit your relationship, while helping you learn how to bring out the best in each other.”
-Eileen Walts

“Other people’s defenses look unreasonable only
because we can’t see their memories.”

Dr. Atkinson’s Endorsement:

Eileen Walts brings unbridled enthusiasm to her work, and her clients feel energized by her presence.

They quickly sense that she’s interested in every detail of their stories, and they benefit from feeling truly understood. They also trust her because they know that she will be honest with her feedback.

Eileen has found that couples often get “stuck” in their relationships because of old emotional wounds that have never been fully healed and make them either too sensitive or insensitive to each other.

With the use of EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing – and other interventions, she helps partners heal these wounds, enabling them to feel less threatened by each other and more flexible and accepting of their differences.
